Ryder, a hard working young farm boy has given up his social life to stay home and help out around the farm after a car accident killed his mother and left his father in a wheelchair. With pressures and guilt from his friend, Aiden, Ryder, the nice guy that he is, wakes at two A.M. to pick up his drunk friend from a party, where he runs into Vayda. Vayda, the young college graduate, who'd rather party than take life serious, becomes frustrated with Ryder, because unlike most, Ryder won't give her the time of day once he begins to question her morals. Unable to find Aiden at the party, Ryder's self conscious won't let him leave the drunk, and vulnerable, Vayda on her own, so he decides to do the respectable thing and drive her home to her parents house, where he's met by Vayda's father, who isn't surprised by Vayda's drunken return. Filled with guilt, Vayda decides to thank Ryder and shows up at his family farm, only to let her temper overrun her intention and continually belittle Ryder, until his father approaches in his chair and invites Vayda for lunch, against Ryder's wishes. Slowly but surely, the two youngsters find love through the constant frustration of their completely different personalities. Unfortunately, through time, Vayda begins to suffer from early onset Alzheimer's, and her memory begins to fade. With a promise from Ryder, the two lovers, in a heart felt moment, fly off into the sunset.
