Once everything comes out, it shakes the whole town. The people who were respected turn out to be part of the problem, and the town has to face the fact that they ignored things they probably shouldn't have.
But the story doesn't end with revenge or some big victory moment. Daniel doesn't burn the town down-he helps rebuild it. He turns the land that caused all the trouble into a community space, something that belongs to everyone.
By the end, it's less about solving the mystery and more about what happens after the truth comes out. The town isn't magically fixed, but it starts changing. And Daniel finally lets go of the guilt he's been carrying for years.
