This book was written with some inspiration from my parents as well as the amazing Jamie Oliver. I grew up helping my parents prepare and make dinners; and even though we had the occasional bit of take out, as all families do from time to time, they always tried hard to serve my two siblings and I nutritious meals every dinner that we would actually eat as kids (we all know how much kids hate anything with vegetables, unless it's on a pizza). As we've grown up, I started to get a real passion for cooking, experimenting with flavours and breaking down a recipe, which is where my love for Jamie Oliver developed. My mum had a copy of 'The Naked Chef' that I would always go through and ask to have a go at some of his recipes. Over the next 15 years both mum and I have added more of his books as well as many other wonderful chefs such as Donna Hay and Maggie Beer, to our joint collection that I hope to one day pass on to my kids.
