Jack had been dreaming all week about this moment and now the day had arrived. Uncle Harry had promised to take him on a fishing trip.

He was to have his own fishing rod, and if they caught a fish, they would cook it and have it for supper.

The most exciting part was that he got to sleep overnight in a tent.

Jack's father had died the year before making him very sad. He missed his dad, but Uncle Harry was always there for him. This would be the best trip yet.

He would learn how to survive in the great outdoors, Uncle Harry said, and he couldn't wait to get going.
