Chris Carter's grandpa, Mr. Jones, never turns down an invitation to go fishing any day of the week, except Fridays. When Chris asks his grandpa why, Mr. Jones replies, "I will tell you when you are older." Baffled by his grandpa's secrecy, Chris and his friend Joey Zykowski decide to spy on Mr. Jones. While spying, Chris and Joey uncover a bigger mystery and enlist the help of their friend, Angela Martinez. In the end, the three friends must step up their detective skills to validate that Mr. Jones is not one of the crooks.
