The First Test and Other Stories

By Simon Brading

There are events that appear inconsequential at the time, but which have repercussions that are felt for years to come: a simple conversation can put a country on a path to destruction; an act of cunning can bring about the downfall of a leader; and someone refusing to give up on their dream, despite the ridicule it brings, can save countless lives. The appearance of Misfit Squadron in the skies of war for the first time was one of those and, while the effect wasn't immediately apparent, it led to the stalling and eventual halt of the previously inexorable advance of the Prussian military.

In this collection of short and not so short stories, we discover some of the events that have shaped the world of the best-selling Misfit Squadron series.
