Cedar Liskami invites you to grab a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, a shot of vodka, and/or a can of tomato juice and partake in a dialogue. The First Philosopher: And Other Collections of Sounds is a compilation of poetry, prose, and short stories (a collection of sounds, if you will) written over the course of a decade, arranged in mostly chronological order, give or take a couple of poems and essays. The themes in this anthology include: philosophical queries about existence, living with depression and anxiety and body dysphoria and unwanted change, experiencing the loss of a parent, travelling, and finding hope and happiness once again after some rough years. Some poems are in German, but most are in English.
