The First Echo: Book One of the Echoes of Eternity Series

By Fiona Grimshaw

A medallion through time. Seven women. One impossible choice.

When archaeologist Dr. Emma Blackwood discovers an ancient medallion during an excavation in Pompeii, she's drawn into a mystery that spans two thousand years. The medallion, with its seven gemstones arranged around a central ruby, seems to connect her to six women throughout history-all of whom faced a devastating choice between love and survival.

As Emma's research deepens, she experiences vivid dreams of Livia, a senator's daughter in Ancient Rome who wore the same medallion during the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. When Emma meets historian Daniel Matthews, their instant connection feels eerily familiar, as if they've known each other across lifetimes.

Together, they uncover the medallion's true purpose: it binds seven women through time, each destined to face the same impossible choice-to die with their beloved or live without them. Six women before Emma chose love over survival, perpetuating a cycle that feeds mysterious entities beyond normal perception.

When a historic flood isolates Emma and Daniel in a Boston hospital, history begins to repeat itself. As water rises and the earth gives way beneath them, Emma must decide whether to break the cycle that has trapped souls for two millennia or surrender to a love that transcends time itself.

*The First Echo* is the captivating first installment in the *Echoes of Eternity* series, blending historical fiction, romance, and supernatural elements into a tale of love, sacrifice, and the courage to defy destiny.
