Masterful Storytelling

One of my favorite novels of all time.I am a fan of literature, and this book, although not on par with the classics in style, more than makes up for it with the author's masterful storytelling and characters that come to life. I've read it at least 5 times and like it better every time. It will hook you, whether you are into war-stories or not; it's not your typical war novel. The life of the novel is in the way the author downplays the drama with comedy, develops the romance and relationships in a fresh, original and realistic direction, and draws the reader into Cy Allen's life and burning need to become the first ace of the Vietnam war.Trust me, buy and read it now.
