Fine addition

After reading the first book in this series, which was a good read, I picked up book 2 with rather high expectations. Did this book meet my expectations? Well, yes and no. I was a good read in its own right, and contray to what a previous writter said, I thought the character development was strong. Golgren continued to develop as a protagonist, and the Titan Stefag showed a whole new side of himself in this book. What kept this book from a five star rating was that it did tend to drag-on at times. It was good, but it was not the same quality as the first book.

Never disappointed

I have been a big fan of Richard Knaak for several years. I was very excited when he started putting out the new trilogy and was not at all disappointed with The Fire Rose.
