This book does not seek to diminish the Passion narrative, nor to replace devotion with detached analysis. Its aim is more exacting: to test whether the traditional reconstruction can sustain the constraints imposed by Scripture and history.

Where it cannot, an alternative is proposed.

Rather than a scattered sequence across the city, this work presents a consolidated reconstruction in which authority remains centralized, movement is restricted, and events unfold within a coherent geographical and political framework.

The question is not whether Jesus suffered.

It is whether we have understood how that suffering unfolded.
