The Feminist Movement and Social Change in Morocco

Feminism in the twenty-first century has become increasingly diversified. In fact, the very diverse and complex natures of its discourses give credence and validity to the concept "feminisms". feminisms is a term that refers to the variety of approaches and strategies that are consistent with the aim of defending women's rights. In Morocco, it was remarkable that two distinct trends have emerged holding different ideological grounds but approving the same goal of changing women's low status. Consequently, these trends are generating different approaches and strategies to mobilize the social change in Morocco from different perspectives. Eventually, they manifest a deep and fruitful complementariness in the Moroccan feminist body.
