The Father's Blessing

God has given those of us who are fathers a unique and powerful role to fulfill with our children. Therefore, as Christians, we are expected to bless our children with a rich legacy of the things of God so that they will want to follow Him all their lives. The blessing can also have a ripple effect on future generations because God wants His children to be fruitful.

The Father's blessing requires pursuit. It requires you to seek it; seek to be around it; plan to be where it is flowing and walk with those who have it. The blessing will not just fall on you without doing anything. It will require you to show through your persistence that you value it.

Ronke Adeoti's book, The Father's Blessing, teaches us that we must value the blessing. We must recognise that everything we need to fulfill our purpose on earth is in the blessing. We do not seek after things, we seek the Kingdom, which is the blessing, and all other things will be added to us.
