Sam Braidwood is a born and bred proud South Australian, husband to an early childhood teacher and father of two young children. When he's not being a helicopter parent, or working in his state government management role, watching movies, constantly eating or procrastinating about writing more books, he is off playing cricket or aussie rules football and holding on to his unrealistic dream of being a professional sports star!

Forced to read the same books each night to his kids has reignited his passion and life-long ambition to write entertaining children's books with fun and colourful illustrations. The Farmer is the first book of a series with characters based on real people performing their everyday occupations as a form of dedication or appreciation for having a positive influence in Sam's life. This particular book is based on his father in-law Roger, a passionate farmer in the Adelaide Plains region and just a genuinely great guy (particularly considering he let Sam marry his amazing daughter!!).
