As many Christian families sense their values being undermined, Grant offers a fast-paced, well-researched look at some of the major powers at work--groups like the ACLU, NEA, National Organization of Women--to show how new social agendas of these groups are gaining control over the most sacred areas of life.
Everybody should read this book. We are all well informed by the media on what the current situation is in our culture, or so I thought. I am upset at some of the things George Grant said in this book; not because they are untrue, on the contrary.I think many people are as uninformed as I was. I was a 9th grade public school teacher when I bought this book, and I have many horror stories that would make some parent's hair stand straight up. And yet, this book goes beyond that. Because of my experiences in the government schools, I know that the chapter entitled "Dumb Certainties" is completely true. The reason I believe that everyone should read this book is because unless we become informed on the truth of the situation, we will not be able to do anything about it. George Grant backs his statements with quotes and notes from many sources which make the content very credible and interesting. This was a real page turner.
