I LOVE this book. It was printed in 1984. Remember the state of home comupters in 1984 !! This book is absolutely FUN to read for anyone who uses a computer but especially real computer buffs. It is real RETRO FUN. Remember names like the Atari 400, Commodore 64, Apple LISA!! , Commodore VIC 20, COleco Adam ( I actually bought a COleco Adam and returned it the next day! It lost the entire operating system because we shut the computer off with the OS TAPE in the machine!! wiped it out !!) Timex Sinclair, Radio Shack TRS-80!! These were the days you look back at and shake your head. Back when the most important part of learning to use a comupter was knowing the difference between BITS and BYTES!! I had a blast reading this book. LOTS OF GREAT PICTURES and screen shots of those horrible block graphics, chapters on DOT-MATRIX printers, and floppy discs bigger than a current NETBOOK. This was called a Volume 1 of the Home Computing Library but I don't know why as this one book pretty much covered EVERY BIT of home computer knowledge in 1984. Shows inside shots of some peripherals and computers, just a great, FUN book to read. Better yet, show it to kids today and blow their minds over what WE thought was advanced that is just laughable now
