THE REAL DEAL

THE FAMILY IS THE REAL DEAL. I'VE BEEN AROUND REAL CAT'S WHO DID REAL THINGS AND THIS BOOK IS DEFINITELY REAL. THE FAMILY IS BETTER THAN TRUE TO THE GAME AND B-MORE CAREFUL BECAUSE IT IS BELIEVABLE! BUT WHAT I REALLY DUG ABOUT IT THAT IT DID NOT GLORIFY DRUG DEALING.THANKS ANTONNE. I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR NEXT JOINT AND HOPEFULLY THE MOVIE! ALSO, ALL YOU WHO WROTE WACK COMMENTS ABOUT THE BOOK ARE JUST HATERS. WHO TAKES THE TIME TO READ,CRITIQUE, THEN WRITE ABOUT A BOOK THEY DISLIKE BESIDES SOME DISGRUNTLED WRITER. THIS BOOK BEEN ON THE SHELF FOR YEARS AND STILL SELLING LIKE CRAZY. IT HAVE TO HAVE SOMETHING TO IT. KEEP IT MOVING MR JONES!!!!!!!!

A GREAT WRITER AND GREAT BOOK

THE FAMILY WAS AN EXCELLENT NOVEL. IT WASN'T THE SAME SEX, MURDER AND MAYHIEM [stuff] WHICH HAS BECOME ALL TOO COMMON IN THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD. MR JONES GOT STRAIGHT TO THE POINT WITHOUT USING ALOT OF DEBASING WORDS OR UNFAMILIAR SLANG. I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THAT A 50 YEAR OLD JEWISH GUY SUCH AS MYSELF WOULD BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND ENJOY A BOOK OF THIS GENRE. EDUCATIONAL AND ENTERTAINING! MY WIFE MARLENE RECOMMENDED IT TO ME AND I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED WHATSOEVER. THE AUTHORS WORDS ARE VERY PASSIONATE AND THE STORY READS WITH A GREAT FLOW. I EAGERLY AWAIT PART II AND THE MOVIE. KUDOS MR JONES. GREAT BOOK!!!

Lots of Name Dropping - Coincidental?

Very good book; short, no fluff, but good. LOTS of names were dropped and I don't mean the obvious Nas and NORE. Several scenarios seemed a little too reminiscent of actual past events, people and places. What's up with that? Brought me back a decade or so, though. The story line is definitely real and credible for the time frame in which the story took place. Mr. Jones did a good job telling this hard core story with a sprinkling of romance. His writing flowed with style and eloquence. Credit should also have been given to the delicious cuties on the cover...

Movie worthy

This story should definitely be made into a film. The author, whom I met by chance on the streets of Philly, has drive, charm, and, determination. His story is real and action packed. It incorporates all races and portrays the harsh realities of dealing drugs. Readers of all kinds will enjoy this short story and want Antonne to write another. I believe that "The Family" will be excellent when put into a movie format and wish the author success, health, and happiness in his future.

I read the book and it only took about an hour and a half. The story is so vivid,I almost felt like I was actually there. Antonne did a great job on his first novel. The movie would have to be a block buster!!!!!!!!!!
