At the age of twenty- two, Robert Bain decides to return to his birth country of Paris, His late father was born and raised in Paris but died tragically on a cruise ship. His mother returned home to the United States when he and his twin sister were very small. While he loved the United States and considered it home, he longed to see his late father's homeland, and he had studied to be a French Chef. He accepted a six-month apprenticeship with a high- class restaurant, so he could further improve on his culinary skills. While he is there, he learns a lot about his dad's homeland, visits an aging grandmother, and eventually meets his late father's best friend, and his lovely daughter.
