The Sages, who wanted to help humanity progress, had to use symbols as metaphors so that it became easier for people to understand the complex philosophy behind Spirituality. Through the allegoric use of symbols and rites, the masses were able to apply this discipline in their everyday life. Besides philosophy, Spirituality also encompasses natural sciences including principles of chemistry, biology, physics or human psychology.
