Mr. Wise has taken the historical writings of Josephus and put it to story.The characters inclued some found in the Bible, such as Mariam who was healed by the touch of Jesus, who are struggling to survie.Another character is Yochanan Ben Zakkai: the founder of modern Judaisum who tries to preserve his beliefs in the middle of a war. In this story the people of Jerusalem know that unity is necessary to defeat the Romans but one thing stands in the way of this unity, their pride.
