In the world of Fantasy, in the land of Whimsy, live two fairies named Rose Petal and Raindrop. They have been friends for as long as they can remember, and like most fairies, their favorite time of year is spring. Spring brings the festival, when fairies from all around Whimsy gather to trade seeds, meet the animals, admire new plants, and share new inventions.

Rose Petal is a flower fairy who has her heart set on a pink Honey-Eating Wrangler flower. Raindrop never goes anywhere without her notebook, and she hopes to sketch new water wheel ideas and find a fresh feed for her famously picky sparkle spike fish. It should be the happiest day of the year.

THEN SOMEONE ASKS THE QUESTION

At the animal booths, a disagreement breaks out: What came first, the chicken or the egg? The bickering grows into an argument. Chickens squawk, baby chicks hide, a barrel of worms tips over, and friends and family are soon at odds. No one truly knows the answer, and Rose Petal and Raindrop can see that only the answer will bring peace back to the festival.

Kindhearted Mother Kit tells them of the one place that might hold it: The Questing Woods, more than a week's journey away. It is said the Wood has the answer to whatever question you may ask. Fairies do not live there, and no one seems to know who keeps it.

AN ADVENTURE THROUGH WHIMSY

The two friends pack up and set out to help the ones they love. Their path leads into the humming trees of the Honey Forest, where they must answer to Queen Bee herself, and onward to the Garden of the Gnome, Flutter Butterfly Meadow, Lake Mystery, Singing Bird Haven, and at last The Questing Woods and its Library.

In the Honey Forest, no one enters without the queen knowing first. The startled worker bees drop their honey and nectar, and the humming trees fall almost quiet. Rose Petal must answer Queen Bee calmly and truthfully to win safe passage, while honey drips from the branches and the ground glistens with golden dew. Before letting them go, the queen asks Rose Petal what she believes the answer is, and Rose Petal realizes she has never stopped to think about it.

Through honesty, kindness, courage, and a few doubts along the way, Rose Petal and Raindrop discover that their question leads to something far bigger than chickens and eggs. It leads them toward the Creator who made it all.
