The Fabulous Fifty is a great book with some suspense, action and adventure. In 1921 Philidelphia's leading daily newspaper printed coupons to go see the World Series. A boys club decides they are going to try to win. They wake up at 4:30 a.m. to follow the paper boy to try to get as many coupons. Many other people are trying to win, including the Mafia. Through their troubles the boys try to collect as many papers as possible and discover ways to get even more by bribing, and discovering the code for bonus papers. Will they be able to go to the World Series and get all of the prises or will all there hard work go to waste? This book is great for people who love baseball, have to read a historical book or just want some adventure.
