October 10th, 2018, was the day my whole life changed forever in being in the eye of the perfect storm. This specific storm has given me an insight that riding it out was a poor choice and reminded me that evacuating is extremely important if you live in a hurricane-prone area. It also has given me the intuition of the living conditions while enduring the wrath of the storm. I was stubborn to heed the evacuation orders from the officials, therefore I've learned a crucial life lesson.

I lived in Callaway, (FL) my whole life before moving up north to Charlotte, (NC) recently. Located in the Florida Panhandle between the cities of Pensacola to its west and Tallahassee to its east, Callaway is in the suburbs of Panama City, FL. I've been fascinated with tracking natural disasters such as hurricanes for as long as I can remember. I consider myself a weather nerd.
