My father loved to tell funny stories, though he only told them to my sister and me and later, his grandchildren, but never to grownups. Nor did he write them down, except for Joe Cat. That story came in a letter to his grandchildren after we moved to BC, and which I still have, a precious reminder of his kooky sense of humour.Other than Joe Cat, I have tried to recreate the stories as I remember them and his way of telling them, the utter wonderful silliness of them.
