The exploration of Mercury has taken only a minor role in the space interests of the world. It is the least explored inner planet. As of 2008, the Mariner 10 and MESSENGER missions have been the only missions that have made close observations of Mercury. MESSENGER made a fly-by of Mercury on 14 January 2008, to further investigate the observations made by Mariner 10 in 1975. A third mission to Mercury, BepiColombo, included two probes. BepiColombo is a joint mission between Japan and the European Space Agency. This book studies exploration of Mercury including spectrometer, KinetX, EADS Astrium, and Ariane 5.
Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge.
