When the children were young, I recall traveling nearly 500 miles to my parents' home. They'd ask, "Are we there yet?"

We'd stop for ice cream many times along the way, and they got used to those places ...so, the trip didn't seem so long. Never did they say, "We've had enough ice cream, can we go back now."
