Great for the impatient learner

I teach a parent class here and there to help parents get a basic understanding of Spanish before teaching their children Spanish on their own. This is a book I recommend to them, until they have more confidence putting phrases and sentences together on their own. It's categorized well, and has phonetic spelling along the way. Good, useful book, if you just can't handle the idea of grammar. It has more than the "travel books" like Spanish in 10 minutes a day, but it's not set up like a true curriculum, so you just jump around as you need - a good reference book, but not necessarily something you would read or use form front to back.
