A Credible Book

I found this book to be very helpful. It tries to explain the evolution of the reformation and is not an attempt at biblical analysis. I researched many of the facts in this book and the authors seem to be right on the money for the most part. Errors can happen in any book and it struck me that this book was heavily researched and very clearly written in plain language so it was easily digested. I have to disagree with the person who wrote the review saying the credibility of this book is suspect. After reading 15 pages of a book, I hardly think you can doubt its credibility. That's rather harsh. While perhaps the authors should not have sounded so matter of fact about Paul's journey to Spain, there is absolutely no proof that Paul did NOT go to Spain. In biblical text Paul says he wanted to go to Spain and given Paul's drive and desire to spread Christ's teachings many theologians now lean more toward Paul having made such a missionary journey. If not to Spain - definitely west of Italy.

This book will give you knowelege to feel confident talking about Christian traditions.

Excellent book.

Excellent book. Loaded with information, yet written in clear and concise language that is easy to understand. Gives a terrific overview of developments in Christian faith from beginning to the present. Highly recommend.

Very nice book

Opened my eyes on the richness and diversity of Christian religious beliefs and traditions. It's amazing how much historical information the authors managed to put in this book. It is a perfect reference source. But what makes this book truly outstanding is the fact that it is so well written it reads as a suspense novel.

Love this book

Have not seen a better reference book on Christianity.
