Good source about all immigrants

Texas, as well as the rest of the country, owes much to the Europeans who crossed the ocean in the 19th century. This book notes not just one group, but many groups who had a hand in that. It's a welcome addition to studies on the issue. But European emigration also had an effect on the people who stayed behind in Europe, as seldom documented, but as expressed in the letters one family wrote to their Texas-immigrant relative and documented in the book Man of Two Worlds.
