The deactivation of missiles at Malmstrom in 1967, the activation of Soviet missiles at Byelokoroviche in 1982, the object that absorbed a Hellfire missile in 2024 without retaliation: these are a message from something present since before recorded history, described in every culture on every continent not as visitors but as kin.

HAR1 - unchanged across 700 million years of vertebrate evolution - changed rapidly in humans, in the gene controlling neocortex formation. Two amino acids in FOXP2 changed at sixty times the normal rate at the moment language emerged. The hardware of human consciousness was in place for 150,000 years before the software ran. Something activated it.
