From the Author: My Eternal Assassin was originally intended to be a series of tales built around the time-spanning figure of Adsiduo Sicarius, the kind of fusion of ideas that - just maybe - might have slotted into the genre of science-fantasy, carrying some elements of fantasy yet strung together on a SF premise. The 'eternal assassin' is a symbiosis. In my conception, an alien parasitic organism that shifts from a doomed host to a new host when threat-levels determine such a transition, absorbing the memories and certain elements of its transient hosts, yet also virtually immortal. Hence there is a succession of new character-traits, yet a continuity of virtually limitless longevity. About the Author: Andrew Darlington's fantasy stories have appeared in numerous anthologies, including Swords & Sorceries: Tales of Heroic Fantasy, with his latest, 'The Memory Eaters', soon to appear in Volume 9 published by Parallel Universe Publications. He's also a regular contributor to the music journal RnR, for whom he's interviewed various singers and musicians. A poetry collection, Tweak Vision: The Word-Play Solution To Modern-Angst Confusion, and his science fiction novel, In the Time of the Breaking, are both from Alien Buddha Press. He resides in West Yorkshire, England. His favourite quote is: 'I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night'.
