Folio I of the Etana Series gives a broad overview of the Etana Protocol, a novel two-year program intended to reverse damage and normalize function in the COPD lung using products that are currently available. Professional research provided the information used to develop the Protocol, but the Folios themselves are non-professional and present information from only one test case. Although the results of the test case were encouraging and very positive, the outcome must be viewed as anecdotal and not necessarily applicable to any individual COPD case. The Folios do provide new information for COPD patients to discuss with their healthcare providers to decide which parts of the Protocol may be applicable to them.
