The essence of Shrimad Bhagavatam is the same as the essence of everything. It is the foundation of all the Vedas, all philosophy, all knowledge, all theology, all religion, and all conduct. This assertion is demonstrable, so it is not an exaggeration.

All ages are encouraged to read this book, and I hope my readers will find it enjoyable. The ancient literature of India has undergone numerous changes, rewrites, revisions, and verifications. Even today, there are countless manuscripts of this type that describe the stories of India's ancient history and civilization, such as the Puranas and Samhitas.

Shrimad Bhagavatam was uttered and written down 5000 years ago; it contains wonderful poetry of 18,000 verses and does not mention the words "Hindu" or "Hinduism" even once. This lovely poem refers to an atom as "anu" and defines it as the basic unit of matter before progressing to higher units of measurement, elegantly combining space and time while also defining time in terms of matter and vice versa. Many more verses extol the Bhagavatam as superior to all other Puranas. To name a few, Vishnu Khanda of the Skanda Purana (5.16.40, 42, 44, 33), Matsya Purana (53.20-22), Agni Purana (272.6.7), and Padma Purana (Uttara-khanda 193.3).
