GREAT BOOK

Great book. Very informative with lots of detail and pictures. I've never owned an ESS before. This book provided lots of useful info regarding health, temperament, training and other details. I'd highly recommend this book for first time owners of ESS.

Great book for researching new puppy

This is a great book. My husband and I are thinking of getting an English Springer Spaniel for our kids and wanted to learn about the breed first. We took a chance on this book since we pre-ordered it and didn't get a chance to "look inside" the book first. We ordered it anyway and are very pleased with our purchase. It covers all aspects of having a dog of this breed. Training, feeding, health concerns, behavior, playtime...you get the point. By the time I was done reading the book, I knew that a springer would fit very well into our family. Plus, it covered topics that will be very helpful to me like training them to go to the bathroom outside and follow commands. I've never had to do that before. The book also comes with a DVD to help with training! I haven't had a chance to watch it yet though. You'll be very pleased with this book. It is clear that the author has a love for this breed and a great deal of knowledge.
