The Enemy Within

By Geoffrey Bott

Daniel Cross is sleeping soundly beside his favourite rescued feline when an unexpected call comes from a retired friend at MI6. Renowned Libyan mercenary Dr. al-Habil has escaped from a highly secretive torture facility in Southern England, and MI6 needs Cross to discover how he escaped and why. Cross travels to war-torn Libya, where he is shown evidence of a landing from beyond this world. In Tripoli, a chance encounter with an invisible figure sends The Enemy Within on a tumultuous international trail of deception, conspiracy, and mayhem. Governments across the globe have adopted eerily similar strategies. Politicians appear to be under some form of mind control, and enormous carbon-capture facilities are being constructed around the planet. With time rapidly running out, Cross must determine who is controlling the world's leaders, where the invisible creatures originated, and whether these seemingly impossible events are connected before humanity loses its freedom forever. The Enemy Within is the fourth novel in the blockbuster Daniel Cross thriller series. Packed with international espionage, cutting-edge science, relentless action, and a chilling conspiracy that spans continents, this gripping thriller races toward a shocking, mind-bending finale that will leave readers questioning everything they thought they knew.
