This book titled "The Endurance Key" is story put together by the author in the course of his investigations, dealings and experiences with people in order to pass a message of hope to the audience. The book cuts across the issues of struggles, rejections, challenges, pains and sorrows leading to prosperity. Chimuanya, the fifth child, born of a happy family of Okongwu and Mmauwa grew up and was taken away to live with a far relative who promised to train him in school because of the circumstances of his family which later became worst and broken because of his family unendurable attitude; he faced a lot of challenges that motivated him to endure and work with hope to become great in life and bring back the joyand happiness his family used to have. The setting of the story revolves around improved African traditional, religious and modern societies. The theme of the story comprises of: (A) Endurance - This is the central theme of the story that portrayed the main character, Chimuanya, who took the endurance key and clung to it with the belief of it bringing a turnaround for good when he was faced with torture, dejection and suffering on his road to become a better person. (B) Deception - This theme was portrayed by Okongwu, who failed to live up to the love and happiness he promised his family, and lust after another woman who later that manipulated him. (C) Hope - This was portrayed by Chimuanya and Ichie Udekwe. They were hopeful and optimistic that the hapless state of Okongwu's family will change for better in future. (D) Faith - This theme was portrayed by Chumuanya and the siblings, as well as Ichie Udekwe. Chimuanya especially was faithful that the condition of his sick mother will change with God's intervention through prayers and deliverance.
