When a skeleton buried in a shallow grave is unearthed on the property of Trey Banner's father-in-law Wendell Beauchamp, Spencer Hardesty is called in to help find out who put the dead man in that grave. It doesn't help matters much that Wendell knew and despised the dead man, which makes him a prime suspect in the case. In this eleventh Spencer Hardesty Novel, Spencer and Trey spend an eventful vacation figuring out the who and the why of what happened almost thirty years before, turning up a second set of bones in the process. The two intrepid investigators take the necessary risks to clear Trey's father-in-law, meeting some interesting characters on earth and one or two on the heavenly side of things as well. Will they weather the coming storm, keep their families safe and manage to juggle a murder mystery all at the same time? Or will the storm be too deadly to bear?
