The Age of Enlightenment allowed for material and scientific progress, but its exclusive focus on the mechanical and deterministic aspects of reality has cut us off from a deeper understanding of the universe's workings and our innate spiritual essence. Going beyond this fragmented worldview is not only possible but will be the inevitable outcome of our cultural evolution.
