The Empire and the Wolf King was previously published as book 21 of the Kaitlyn and the Highlander series.
Now The Empire and the Wolf King is book three in a new series, Time is a Wheel: The Wolf King Trilogy
It is still the same book and its series can be read at the end of the Kaitlyn and the Highlander series after Book 18: Time is a Wheel.
But for new readers, this series, Time is a Wheel: The Wolf King Trilogy (Long Live the King, The Dawn, and The Empire and the Wolf King) can also be read as a stand-alone trilogy whenever you like.

A hero from the future must save Magnus and his family in the past.
From the cliffs of Stirling Castle in 1300, to the cellars of Balloch castle in the year 1683, from the family chapel of 1710, to a lonely dining room in the 24th century, and finally on foot through the woods of Colonial Virginia in 1775, the next episode has the family spread across time, stuck, unable to travel, and as Magnus has said:
"When ye put it like that, in the light of the day, we appear tae be on our back foot."
And now there is a villain far worse than they knew, and he's winning.______________________
Time is a Wheel: The Wolf King Trilogy is perfect for fans of Outlander who wish the Hero could come forward in time to modern day and that the events would include medieval Scotland as well.
In this series Magnus and Kaitlyn, and their growing family, can time travel together. They loop through the centuries, risking their lives, and dangerously shifting time. It's a time travel romance wrapped in Scottish medieval history, a throne in the past, a kingdom in the future, a bit of humor, suspense and adventure, and all wrapped up in dark romantic historical fantasy.
