Like the previous four books (the series, like the tarot, starts at Zero), Desmond's tale takes place in modern day Los Angeles. The Human Drama is a series of 78 short stories, each one expressing the 78 tarot cards in unique narratives. The first 11 explore modern day individuals in LA, the remaining 11 of the 22 Major Arcana will take place in the future, and the 56 Minor Arcana will explore a wide variety of people from history. Each story is a work onto itself, but they are also all the more richer when reading them together, especially Diamanda prior to Desmond's story. Dive in to enjoy the ride.
