Let me just preface this analysis by quickly stating that there is a great world of difference between politics, politicking, politrics and Leadership.

Politics is the science of mastering and managing public affairs, which derives from the subject of political science.
It has so much to do with making policies and evolving programmes for development, peace, security, welfare and common good of the society. Politics in real sense of it, should be development and people focused. Anything short of this, is the counterfeit of that is referred to as either politrics or politicking.

Simply put, politicking is the game of politics, especially playing politics with serious issues, be they national or of economic importance.

Politrics is vulgar and mockery use of the word politics. It has to do with all the dirty games and manipulation in politics. Politrics also entails angling for power by whatever means, either by hook or crook.

Because politrics focus on grabbing power without corresponding responsibility, it is used for personal aggrandisement. Politrikcians are desperate power seekers and brokers who know nothing or little about leadership and governance.
This is what give people the impression that politics is dirty. It also entails playing games with issues of national import
Let me straightly point out that Leadership and politics are two different ball games, which are grossly mixed up. This is because sometimes leaders participate in politics but leaders are not essentially politicians as leaders are found at home, family, among kindred, community, society, country and even in the corporate circle. Well, it is believed that politics from perverted point of view is played at the foregoing various levels. This assumption is neither here nor there because the leadership intrigues at above mentioned circles are not as manipulative as the real politics characterized by politicking and politrikcs. I will in subsequent part of this write up, explain the difference between leadership, politics, politicking and politrikcs.

Leadership is typified by certain historic personalities who in the old good days provided leadership that impacted humanity. These are the ideal leaders that are easily distinguished from politicians and political actors who accidentally found themselves in leadership position. It should be noted that leadership is not a title or positional but about performing problem solving role and discharging responsibilities.
