The Elijah Revival: Revival Prescription for Apostates

Contrary to the natural thinking of some Christians, apostasy among Christians is not only possible, but will be rampant before the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. This ungodly harvest is declared to be so according to the unified testimony of the Bible. And if it were not for the mercy of the Lord, in cutting it short (Matthew 24:22-24), few of us, would have been able to endure the scourge much longer; for so great is the intensity of the trial. One of the clearest reasons given for this condition, is the coming dark cloud of 'Iniquity', causing a polar freeze on our love for God (Matthew 24:12). Even during Paul's time, Demas for example one of his staunchest co-laborers, forsook him, having fallen in love with the world, according to the apostle( 2 Tim 4:10 ). Phygellus and Hermogenes, leaders and well-known supporters, also turned away from Paul at critical moments( 2 Tim 1:15 ). At that time our love for God will become sickly cold. These are foreshadowing of the present end-time great apostasy: and even strong disciples can become fallen targets and victims of apostasy. Humility about ourselves no doubt will be a strong safety net and antidote against these spiritual weapons.
