For two thousand years Christianity has stood on a single defining claim: on the first Easter Sunday a dead body came back to life. This book argues that it did not. Instead, that which has long been called miracle was something far more profound and consequential: a natural transformation of matter into energy, consistent with Einstein's iconic equation, E=mc 2. Energy "E" and mass "m" are but different manifestations of each other. The truth of this relationship is found in the Tibetan rainbow body phenomenon where a human body ("m") dissolves into energy ("E"). Thus, resurrection was not a one-time miracle but an event governed by natural law. Christianity's refusal to recognize it is the elephant in the sanctuary. Join author Tom Devins in his journey to Tibet to study rainbow body and his detailed analysis of the Shroud of Turin. The Shroud is Jesus's burial cloth. It provides solid scientific evidence that what we call miracle resurrection was actually a very natural radiation event, "m" returning to "E." Rainbow body is so prevalent in Tibet that there is a school that teaches the technique. Yes, dying a corpse-less death is a learnable skill. Tibetans use an ancient yogic practice known as Dzogchen for rainbow body realization. A parallel is found in the Gospel of Thomas, a non-canonical work that was written contemporary with John's Gospel but rejected by early Church Fathers as an abomination because it denied the miracle platform that was being installed. The Jesus in Thomas is more likely to be found meditating in a cave than delivering a Sabbath sermon in a synagogue. The views expressed herein are radical only because the typical Christian has been mesmerized by the words of an inerrant Bible and entrenched liturgical practices. A well known and highly regarded Catholic priest put the Vatican on notice by his book that resurrection was natural, open to all who followed the meditation practice. Another well known priest openly advocates taking Jesus off of the pedestal of divinity that we have placed Him on, bringing Him to the ground where He can be emulated. Emulation, not adoration, is the path to rainbow body and everlasting life. The implications of natural resurrection extend well beyond doctrinal matters. On an even larger scale they reveal that consciousness, not matter, is central to human experience. Human consciousness is not an evolution of brain chemistry. It is the other way around. All of the paranormal experiences that are reported and rejected by natural science now take on new life, further revealing the primacy of consciousness over matter. Maybe those little red, green and blue pills in your medicine cabinet aren't necessary after all. The wheels of religion turn slowly and it may be a while before doctrinal change takes place. It took almost 350 years for the Church to accept Galileo's heliocentric theory. Meanwhile, while matter is temporary, consciousness survives death. And, death doesn't punch a time clock. The book closes with ten suggestions the reader can follow in order to keep his spirit nature alive while waiting for the Church to catch up. If enough people follow the suggestions, Christianity will be saved from itself.
