"The Eighteenth-Century Houses of Williamsburg" is a treasure trove of information for both the casual and serious student of Colonial Virginia architecture. Most books on colonial architecture focus on New England houses, which are completely different than Virginia houses, so this book is indeed a rarity. Not only does it cover the history of Colonial Virginia architecture and materials, but provides in-depth and detailed information on architectural elements of the Williamsburg houses. Included are elevations and floor plans.
