It's almost Easter. Time for bunnies, bonnets, and bonbons. Not bedlam. Unless you're Lora Weaver, that is.
With the scent of spring in the air and the promise of a long weekend looming, rookie PI Lora Weaver is looking forward to a few days off relaxing with her beau Adam, taking long walks and short naps snuggled together in the warm glow of Easter chocolate wrappers.
But her plans get derailed when Lora is enlisted by bff Camille Caron's tante Claudette to play Easter Bunny for a kids' play being put on by Claudette's church group. Soon Lora finds herself donning a bunny suit and whiskers deep in a m l e of sparring seniors and bingo brawls. Things go from bad to worse when Lora gets accused of pilfering charity funds and must clear her name to keep herself from falling into a rabbit hole she can't escape.
All while grappling with the clamorous Caron clan, mama-to-be Tina, and Lora's enigma of a boss, Laurent, who may be hiding more secrets than a Kinder egg.
Funny, fast-paced, and sprinkled with romance and family hijinks, The Easter Egg Ennui is a cozy holiday mini-mystery. Possibly best enjoyed with a handful of chocolate bunnies;)
