Five-year-old Alexia was very pleased when her mother suggested she take an afternoon nap on a blanket out in the open air behind the house. Once left alone in the pleasantly warm sunshine, she focused her attention on a beautiful white cloud. She wondered why it fascinated her so much. She concentrated harder and harder on it, and was surprised when her consciousness seemed to lift and travel through the cloud and continue beyond it. Alexia found herself inside a spacecraft facing an alien man. He smiled, and she knew he was friendly.
