I found this book in a library discard pile in the office of the school where I teach. I picked it up, not knowing what it was about. It stayed tucked away in a drawer for several months. I rediscovered it three days ago and just finished it this evening. What a wonderful read! I thoroughly enjoyed Noelle's character, as well as Wrenthe. There are several humorous moments within this book. I found myself giggling aloud having read them. A very interesting 'look' at the inner working of Regency England. I count myself extremely fortunate to have acquired this book for free. I highly recommend adding it your collection.

Barbara Metzger's first book ( Now out of print) is a gem of a find, when you can find it. The contrast between the characters is refreshing, humorous and enchanting. If you enjoy Regency Books, (and can find this one) I think you will not be disappointed.
