This is a fantastic book. The photos are all professional and are simply stunning. When I was in Alaska in August of '08, I saw this book for sale in Homer. I didn't buy it then, but the photos capitivated me. I am an amateur wildlife photographer, so I thought "I should come back and take some of these pictures myself." So I booked a trip back to Homer for March '09. The subject of the book, the Eagle Lady, Jean Keene, passed away in January '09, so I never got to meet her. I did come back to Homer in March, however, and witnessed one of the last feedings allowed. (The Homer city council had previously passed a law that required the feedings to cease upon her death, but the authorities allowed one of her friends to continue for the '09 winter season only - for the bird's welfare). With Jean's passing, it will not happen again. If you like eagles, this book is a must. It is a wonderful memorial to a great woman, and you will not believe the photos that were possible in Homer. Even though I took many of my own photos, I bought this book for the quality and variety of the pictures. You should too.
