Excellent Resource for Online Business Start up and Marketing

I almost didn't order this book because of a negative review and I didn't want to waste time or money on rehashed information. I'm glad I gave it a try anyway! This book is the 5th I've bought recently in my quest for education on my new start up business - and, so far, the most helpful. It has specific actions, plans, websites, resources and lots of creative marketing ideas that have really helped me. The authors do discuss building opt-in e-mails lists for marketing, but they do NOT recommend SPAM in any way. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to improve their online business, or looking for information on how to start one.

Better than GOLD

I'm amazed on how can some people write a negative review a bout a book that's worth its weigh in GOLD. Just because something doesn't apply to your situation or business aspect, doesn't mean its less valued. Joe Vitale is a brilliant internet marketer and well respected consultant. Go spend 2,400 on a seminar that half of which is spent on fluff and the other half is spent on another sales pitch for a follow up advanced seminar, and after you waste 2-3 days of your time (Best case scenario. Worst case scenario is you sign of up for another seminar for the Advanced seminar -- cause you thought they will teach you something you couldn't teach yourself or pick up a book about the same subject), then complain about this book. Get Real and apply a couple of tips that will make your sinking business go above water and you are home free. Stop the complaining and reach your potential by applying what you learned and not getting stuck on analysis paralyses. I have used this book to market my business which shows home owners to cut a mortgage by 20+ years without adding to your monthly expenses. [...]

Great book!

Regardless of some of the negative reviews I found that this book contains some of the best advice you can get about internet marketing. Some have their opinions about his book about "how to get rich by telling other people how to get rich." Although that has some truth to it, there is so much more to it - if you think of how to apply it in your industry or niche! What some of these reviewers fail to understand is that this book gives you the strategies on how to market your particular business effectively through using the internet, NOT just "teaching people how to get rich." And the subtitle to this book accurately says it all, "making money online using e-mail" In my opinion that's what this book is about and is accurately communicated in the title. I highly recommend this book to anybody who wants to start an online business. Although you could get most of the material for free on the internet, it's much more convenient and saves you A LOT of time to have this book around.

Great book!

As a website publisher I've read just about every book on the market. 99% gave me general information I could gather for free off the web. The remaining 1% were worth their weight in gold. This book falls in that category. Written in short easy to read chapters I got a wealth of ideas to turn my online advertising into a results focused marketing action plan that will generate revenue. For example: The six chapters (38-43) on affiliate marketing were an eye openener for me. I learned how to use these programs to generate revenue without having to store inventory or even own a product. I learned how I could give away e books that I create and still make more money than if I had charged for it. I learned why growing an "opt-in" mailing list was one of THE most important things I could do as a website publisher to guarantee a future income for myself. Every chapter made sense. Gave clear instructions on what to do and how to do it. I feel I got a bargain for the inexpensive price I paid. I am confident that applying just one of the many ideas in this book will more than cover the cost of the book. A great return on investment! I suggest getting the book and putting into action what you'll learn. If you don't feel it's worth the price send it back. I think after you buy it you'll agree it's worth every penny.

This book has been one of the best purchases I've made in the past year. From the moment I read the first page, I knew this was going to be a wonderful, helpful book. I now feel ten times more confident that I can be successful in my e-book pursuits. It isn't rocket science like I previously thought it was.
