Excellent, As Usual

This was an excellent book, as usual, from Victor Davis Hanson. American Citizenship as we know it may soon vanish - the signs are all there and growing worse each year. It is time for the American People to wake up, learn from history, and stop this fast moving New World Order before it is too late. Globalism has been tried before and failed. The Roman Empire failed for several reasons, but the Republic growing too big, too fast, without borders, too many people of varying ethic backgrounds who didn't try to assimilate was a very real part of the problem. To be self-governing, citizens must be economically autonomous but the evisceration of the middle class have made many people dependent on the federal government. Citizenship can only exist within delineated borders, not open borders and the idea of global citizenship will not work. It didn't work in Greece or Rome and it won't work now. We also have the problem of a vastly expanded unelected bureaucracy which has overwhelmed the power of elected officials, destroying the sovereign power of the citizen. Do yourself a favor and read this book. I also took the Hillsdale College online course taught by Mr Hanson and it was excellent.
